Autopilot Beta Terms

Beta

Last updated: April 13, 2026

These terms supplement the main Terms and Conditions

By enabling Autopilot, you agree to both the main Terms and Conditions and these additional Beta Terms. In the event of any conflict, these Beta Terms take precedence for matters relating to the Autopilot feature.

1. What is Autopilot?

Autopilot is an optional, opt-in feature available to Pro subscribers that enables payment collection on invoices you create in Experi. Autopilot uses Stripe Connect to facilitate payments from your clients directly to your bank account.

How it works:When you enable Autopilot and send an invoice, your client receives a secure payment link hosted by Stripe. When your client pays, Stripe processes the payment and deposits the funds (minus Stripe's standard processing fees) directly into your connected bank account. Experi does not charge any additional platform fees on payments collected through Autopilot.

Experi does not hold, manage, or have access to your funds at any point. All payment processing is handled by Stripe.

2. Beta Status

IMPORTANT: Beta Feature

Autopilot is currently in beta. This means the feature is still under active development and may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete functionality. You use Autopilot at your own risk.

By using the Autopilot beta, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • The feature is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind
  • The feature may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without prior notice
  • We may change pricing, fees, or terms associated with Autopilot during the beta period
  • Beta features may not perform as reliably as generally available features
  • We may revoke beta access at any time and for any reason
  • The feature may contain errors that could result in incorrect payment amounts, delayed processing, or failed transactions

3. Stripe Connect Relationship

By enabling Autopilot, you will create a Stripe Express connected account. This establishes a direct relationship between you and Stripe. You agree to:

Experi acts as a platform that facilitates the connection between you and Stripe. We are not a payment services provider, money transmitter, or financial institution.

4. Fees and Charges

When payments are collected through Autopilot, the following fees apply:

  • Stripe processing fees: Stripe charges its standard processing fees (currently 1.5% + 20p for UK cards). These fees are deducted by Stripe before funds reach your account. Stripe may change these rates — refer to Stripe's pricing page for current rates.
  • Experi platform fees: Experi does not charge any additional platform fees on payments collected through Autopilot. Autopilot is included with your Pro subscription. We reserve the right to introduce platform fees in the future with reasonable notice.

You are responsible for understanding how Stripe's fees affect your invoiced amounts. The amount your client pays is the full invoice amount; Stripe's processing fees are deducted from your payout.

5. Your Responsibilities

In addition to the responsibilities set out in the main Terms and Conditions, when using Autopilot you are solely responsible for:

  • Invoice accuracy: Ensuring all invoices sent with payment links contain correct amounts, tax calculations, and client details
  • Tax compliance: Reporting all payments received through Autopilot to HMRC or your relevant tax authority. Experi does not report payments on your behalf.
  • Refunds and disputes: Managing any payment disputes, chargebacks, or refund requests from your clients. Stripe may debit your connected account for chargebacks.
  • Client communication:Informing your clients that payments are processed by Stripe and that Stripe's terms and privacy policy apply to their payment
  • Keeping Stripe account in good standing: Maintaining valid bank details, responding to Stripe verification requests, and not violating Stripe's terms
  • Record-keeping: Maintaining your own records of payments received. While Experi tracks payment status, you should not rely solely on Experi as your record of payment.
  • Anti-money laundering (AML): Not using Autopilot to facilitate money laundering, fraud, or any illegal activity

6. Limitation of Liability — Autopilot Specific

IMPORTANT: Enhanced Liability Limitation

Given the financial nature of payment processing, this section contains enhanced liability limitations specific to Autopilot.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EXPERI AND ANNA MOORE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Failed, delayed, or incorrect payments processed through Stripe
  • Funds held, frozen, or seized by Stripe due to their risk assessment or compliance requirements
  • Chargebacks, disputes, or fraud losses on your connected account
  • Stripe service outages, downtime, or processing errors
  • Changes to Stripe's fees, terms, or policies
  • Loss of revenue due to payment link expiry, client non-payment, or technical failures
  • Incorrect payment amounts resulting from invoice calculation errors (see Section 3A of main Terms)
  • Tax penalties arising from unreported or incorrectly reported payment income
  • Data breaches or security incidents at Stripe
  • Any financial loss arising from the use of this beta feature

YOUR USE OF AUTOPILOT IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. Our total liability for any claims related to Autopilot shall not exceed the amount you paid for your Experi Pro subscription in the 3 months preceding the claim.

7. Data Sharing with Stripe

When you enable Autopilot, we share the following data with Stripe to facilitate payment collection:

  • Your email address and business details (for account creation)
  • Your client's name and email (for Stripe Customer creation)
  • Invoice amounts, descriptions, and due dates
  • Payment status updates (received back from Stripe via webhooks)

Stripe processes this data under their own Privacy Policy. By enabling Autopilot, you consent to this data sharing and confirm you have lawful grounds to share your clients' data with Stripe for payment processing.

We store Stripe account IDs and payment event data for audit and reconciliation purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details on data retention.

8. Beta Feedback and Reporting Issues

As a beta participant, we encourage you to report any issues, bugs, or unexpected behaviour to hello@experi.co.uk. Your feedback helps us improve the feature for all users.

By providing feedback, you grant Experi a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, modify, and incorporate your feedback into the Service without obligation.

9. Termination of Beta Access

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Autopilot beta at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons may include but are not limited to:

  • Violation of these Beta Terms or the main Terms and Conditions
  • Stripe suspending or closing your connected account
  • Excessive chargebacks or fraud activity
  • Decision to discontinue the beta programme
  • Transition to a generally available version with different terms

You may disable Autopilot at any time from Settings → Autopilot. Disabling Autopilot does not delete your Stripe connected account — you can manage or close that directly with Stripe.

Any pending payments or payouts at the time of termination will be handled by Stripe according to their terms.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Anna Moore (trading as Experi), and our employees, contractors, and agents, from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from or related to:

  • Your use of the Autopilot feature
  • Payments collected through your connected account
  • Disputes or chargebacks from your clients
  • Your failure to comply with tax or regulatory obligations
  • Inaccurate invoices or overcharging of clients
  • Any misuse of the payment collection functionality

11. Transition from Beta

When Autopilot transitions from beta to general availability:

  • These Beta Terms will be replaced by updated terms specific to the generally available feature
  • We will provide reasonable notice of any changes to fees or functionality
  • Your connected Stripe account and configuration will carry over unless otherwise stated
  • Continued use after the transition constitutes acceptance of the updated terms

12. Governing Law

These Beta Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, consistent with the main Terms and Conditions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
