Reviewing tax-year and VAT records

Use Experi tax-year, quarterly and VAT views as reviewable records without treating them as filed returns or tax advice.

Reviewing tax-year and VAT records

UK tax years run from 6 April to 5 April. Experi groups dated income and cost records into the selected period and shows warnings where information is incomplete.

Before relying on a summary:

  • confirm invoice payments and credit notes;
  • review bill and expense dates, categories and tax treatment;
  • classify Other Sales and complete VAT information where relevant;
  • resolve missing foreign-currency conversions;
  • review business-use percentages and shared-cost allocations.

VAT views are only as complete as the VAT treatment and tax amounts recorded. A missing or provisional value is deliberately flagged rather than guessed.

Experi does not submit VAT returns from these screens and does not calculate a definitive tax liability. Export the records and ask a qualified accountant or tax adviser about your circumstances.
