Seamlessly move from quote to invoice.

Option 1: Convert to Project

When quote is accepted:

  1. Click Convert to Project
  2. Project created with quote details
  3. Track time against project
  4. Generate invoice from tracked work

Best for: Time-based projects, ongoing work

Option 2: Direct to Invoice

For fixed-price work:

  1. Open accepted quote
  2. Click Convert to Invoice
  3. Invoice created with same line items
  4. Review and send

Best for: Fixed-price projects, one-time services

Quote vs Invoice Differences

Quotes:

  • Estimates and proposals
  • Can be accepted/rejected
  • Have expiry dates
  • Not payment requests

Invoices:

  • Payment requests
  • Based on completed work
  • Have due dates
  • Legally binding

Best Practice Workflow

  1. Send quote
  2. Client accepts
  3. Convert to project
  4. Track time
  5. Complete work
  6. Generate invoice from tracked time
  7. Client pays

This ensures accurate billing based on actual work done.
