An invoice workflow for pet groomers

An owner books a full groom, approves a separate coat-treatment extra and purchases a retail brush. Keep the appointment services separate from the physical product, and avoid charging for nail care again when it is already part of the package.

   Begin with the booked groom

   Apply the pet-grooming template and select the package actually delivered. Replace the sample quantities and add only the pet reference and appointment date needed for the owner to recognise the work.

   Separate services from retail

   Save common grooms as Inventory services with your prices. Add a brush or shampoo sold to the owner as its own product line, linking your stock item when you want to update operational quantities on issue.

   Review at collection

   Check that all additional treatments were agreed and no included service appears twice. Print or email the customer copy at collection, then record payment and save only the reusable package structure for future appointments.

Before you invoice: Grooming services do not automatically consume shampoo or other supplies. Keep veterinary, behavioural and access information in your appropriate care records, not reusable invoice notes.
